What kind of ground preparation is necessary?

It is important to have the ground as level as possible. Leveling is not included in our prices.

Is a building permit required for sheds or garages?

Generally most sheds under 200 Square Feet do not require building permits. With that being said, we always invite you to reach out to your local city to see what is and is not allowed in your area. Garages will usually always require a permit, contact your city for details.

Can I bolt my building directly to concrete?

The Short answer is yes! The Longer answer is, we prefer that if you are going to bolt down to concrete that the concrete be poured to the exact dimensions of the shed and that it is as level as possible. We can never guarantee that water will not get into your shed when it is bolted directly to the concrete with the concrete acting as the floor of the shed.

Do you require a down payment?

No. Generally, we will not ask for any money until the building is completed and you are satisfied.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes! We do accept most major credit cards. There is a 2% charge added to the cost of your building when you use a credit card.

Are the buildings built on-site?

We build the components in our factory and assemble the buildings on-site.

How long will it take for my building to be built?

We will typically finish your shed in a day. Garages vary depending on the size and complexity.

What kind of flooring do you use?

Our sheds come standard with a flooring system that includes your choice of pressure treated 2×6′s or galvanized steel. These products are then sheeted with 3/4 tongue and groove plywood (this is the same sheeting that is found on the second story of most new homes). A concrete pad is not necessary for our sheds. Ideally we recommend 2-4″ of gravel.

Do your prices include assembly?

Yes, our prices include on-site installation, except for the do-it-yourself kits.

What kind of shingles do you use?

We use GAF Timberline architectural shingles. This is the same shingle that most new, custom homes use. In most cases, we can match the shingles to the roof of your home.

What kind of siding do you use?

We use LP SmartSide Panel siding, which is a high-quality engineered wood designed to resist decay. It is pretreated with a Smart Guard process which makes it resistant to termites and fungal decay. It also comes with a baked on primer and is ready to be painted. The SmartSide Panel siding has a manufacturer’s warranty.
